How to Dye a Wool Sweater

Dyeing wool is simple, but the procedure is slightly different than dyeing other fibers with our Intensified Clothing Dye. When dyeing wool, cashmere, alpaca or mohair, the hot water dye bath needs to cool to room temperature before rinsing your garment in room temperature water. If your garment is too hot, rinsing it in cold water will shock the fabric and cause it to become felted and fuzzy.

Our Intensified Clothing dyes are also perfect for dyeing silk, nylon and feathers, but the procedure is slightly different. Check out our How to Dye a Silk Dress video tutorial.

Every color comes with easy to read step-by-step instructions that anyone can follow.
